What makes the Lowline Cattle Show at the 2015 National Western Stock Show unique? The Lowline Show is a People's Choice Show, meaning that the people get to be the judges!
Ballots are handed out at the beginning of each class and the "judges," after mingling in and amongst the cattle and asking the owners questions, mark their top choices. The ballots are tallied and the winners are announced at the Lowline Sale. The sale order is then determined by who the people have chosen. The Lowline breed has been doing their show this way at the National Western for six years now.
But perhaps, the best part of the Lowline People's Choice Show, was the lunch provided by Muddy Creek Cattle Ranch LLC from Wilsall, Montana. They served up smoked Lowline brisket on a bun, with a side of potato salad!
