Angus enthusiasts are gathered around Stadium Arena today to watch the Junior Angus Breeding Heifer Show.
It is no secret that the Angus breed is known worldwide as the business breed. Jera Pipkin, Events and Education Coordinator for the American Angus Association explained what she thinks puts Angus above other breeds in the industry.
“I’ve grown up in the business since I was a little kid and I think that sense of family the Angus Association provides puts it above the rest.” Pipkin, a past National Junior Angus Association Board member said.
However, the American Angus Association does not only excel from a people perspective, but also in terms of raising quality cattle.
“From a cattle perspective, the Angus breed is producing maternal legends that really have true longevity, EPDS, power and performance that really make Angus cattle last,” Pipkin said.
