The National Western officially kicked off with spectators gathered ring side to watch the Red Angus show.
The Red Angus Junior National rotates between different locations every year. Last year, the Red Angus Association proudly hosted their Junior National at the National Western. This year, the National Show will take place at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo in Fort Worth, Texas.
Although the Red Angus Junior National Show is not officially apart of the National Western schedule this year, Brandi Buzzard Frobose, Director of Communications for the Red Angus Association emphasized the associations appreciation for everything the National Western has to offer for Red Angus Association members.
“We love coming to Denver,” Frobose said. “We really enjoy the partnership that we have with National Western and it’s because of that relationship that we have some exciting things planned with them for upcoming years.”
The Red Angus Association recently announced the launch of its new quarterly online publication Buckle & Banner, which aims to connect the show ring to the beef industry. The inaugural issue is being released online during the National Western. Red Angus enthusiasts interested in the printed version of the publication can find it being distributed at the National Western, Fort Worth Stock Show and other spring livestock events.
“We are really excited about this publication and looking forward to helping evolve the relationship between exhibitors and producers,” Frobose said. “Exhibitors should follow Red Angus media platforms for more surprise announcements like this coming soon.”
