Stadium Hall 1 echoed with the clucks of poultry today during the NWSS Poultry Show. Various species of poultry were evaluated, including ducks and chickens. Each chicken division was unique in breed, crown shape and color.
Following the show, the juniors competed in the showmanship contest. During showmanship, each exhibitor handled their poultry and presented key body parts. They also answered questions from the judge and explained why their animal was correct in its breed characteristics.
For a quick tutorial on how to present a chicken, check out this video of junior exhibitors, Zach and Elizabeth Hightower!
Congratulations to all of the exhibitors!
Please enjoy these candids!
