The National Western Stock Show Maine-Anjou judge is Kyle Conley, a fourth-generation Angus cattle breeder from Sulphur, Oklahoma.
Conley grew up showing Angus cattle with his family and went on to judge livestock at Butler Community College and then Oklahoma State University, where he was on the 2004 Reserve National Champion Senior College Team.
Conley said while the variety of the show can be challenging, that is what makes judging in Denver so fun. Today as the Maine-Anjou show kicks off, Conley said he is excited to sort through the cattle.
“The Maine-Anjou breed obviously has a lot of strengths as far as the show ring goes,” Conley said. “With the muscle and eye appeal those cattle have, I’m looking forward to seeing the quality of the breed.”
