The National Western Stock Show draws exhibitors from far and near, sometimes very near. For a show this large it is often easy to forget that to some exhibitors it is their local show and their hometown.
For Alexandria Eichler it is just that. From Gypsum, Colorado, she comes to the National Western because it is her hometown show.
“It’s really fun to be here,” Eichler said. “We’ve been to the Colorado State Fair, Arizona Nationals and the North American International Livestock Exposition so far this year too.”
Showing market wethers and participating in showmanship, she is beginning to make her mark, not only at this hometown show, but also across the country. The magic of a show this large, and the show circuit in general, is how it brings together individuals from across multiple different species, regions, states and backgrounds, all to show on the Hill and in the Yards.
