In addition to cattle and people, the yards are currently full of gloves, hats, scarves and jackets. Cold temperatures in Denver are making for a chilly time for all in the yards, especially those prepping cattle for the 2016 National Western Angus Carload and Pen Show.
Inside the Livestock Center Auction Arena temperatures are a little warmer as judges, Arlen Sawyer of Bassett, Nebraska, Doug Slattery of Chappell Hill, Texas, and Phil Trowbridge, of Ghent, New York, are analyzing the carloads and pens. Over 150 Angus cattle from 16 different states are making an appearance in the ring for this show. Pictures from the show and around the yards can be found below.
